The family of a 28-year-old man who was murdered two years ago and whose body was dumped in the Dublin Mountains has made an emotional appeal for information about his killing.

Kenneth Fetherston was attacked and killed in Dublin in September 2009.

His car was found four days later in Co Wexford, but his body was not discovered until the following January.

Gardaí say they are following a definite line of inquiry in the case.

A spokesperson said they have gathered a substantial amount of information, but need to convert that information into evidence for a prosecution.

The parents and sister of Mr Fetherston have asked the public to help gardaí bring about a prosecution in the case.

His mother, Gráinne, said they are living a nightmare and the heartbreak is not going away.

His father, Brian, said Kenneth was too trusting of people.

He said his son had loaned money to people to set up a business but he was murdered when he looked for the money back.

He said people should no longer be afraid to stand up for themselves and their families and should help gardaí in cases like this.
