Gardaí have renewed their appeal for information about the death of a Romanian woman in Dublin two years ago.

The body of 50-year-old Eugenia Bratis was found in the Phoenix Park in Dublin on 5 August, 2009.

Despite an extensive investigation, with over 1,000 lines of inquiry, a suspect has yet to be identified.

Ms Bratis’s body was found by two men who were walking in a wooded area, just off Military Road in the Phoenix Park.

To date only one of these men has come forward to assist with the investigation.

Gardaí want to hear from the second witness, who is described as being of average build, and in his late 60s or early 70s.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the inquiry, but no charges have been brought.

Gardaí are appealing for members of the Roma and Romanian Community who knew Ms Bratis, or anyone with information, to contact the incident room at Cabra Garda Station.
