BREAKING NEWS: Blarney, Co Cork: Three Men Arrested After Man Is Shot Dead On Roadside

Three men have been arrested as part of an investigation into the shooting of a man in Blarney, Co Cork, today.

The man, who was in his late 30s and is thought to have been originally from Cork city, was shot dead during an incident on the roadside near Waterloo outside Blarney at around 4pm.

Two of the men arrested have been detained at Gurranabraher Garda Station and the third at Mayfield Garda station under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.

The body remains at the scene which had been closed for Garda technical examination. The State Pathologist has been notified and a postmortem is expected to take place tomorrow.
